Don’t Judge a Soup by its Cover!

What’s in a label? For a lot of “organic,” “natural,” and “healthy” foods, it‘s a whole lot of bunk.

A recent article in ABC Health¬†explores how processed foods can undergo a marketing spin and be sold as “low in fat,” “high fiber,” “natural,” and “wholesome” — but fail to meet health and nutrition standards.

Commercial and canned soups are the main culprit here — reading their nutritional labels often requires a degree in translation studies. And a good pair of bifocals. Your best bet? Stick with a whole-foods, plant-based diet! Or you can just eat Soupergirl for every meal. That’s fine with us.
