Soupergirl's Take

Soupergirl's Take

True story: In the late 1800's, Norwegian artist Edvard Munch created a series of paintings and prints entitled "the Scream." There has been much speculation over the source of inspiration for the paintings. Recent evidence suggests that Munch was trying to express his horror and exacerbation over the fact that someone stole his Curried Red Lentil Butternut Squash soup. He had put it in the fridge at work in downtown Oslofjord and clearly labeled it with his name. Oh, how he loved his Curried Red Lentil Butternut Squash soup. The ginger and curry practically danced together with the subtly sweet and tender butternut squash. The red lentils melted into the broth, bringing an unexpected heartiness to the soup. Imagine his shock and anger when he discovered that someone had eaten his soup. Who would do such a thing?? Funny postscript - he figured out later that he had actually put the soup in the freezer so it would last. This led to his second, less famous, series entitled "The Microwave." (ps this is not a true story....)
