Please read these Official Rules carefully before submitting a nomination. By submitting a nomination, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
1. Sponsor
The Soupergirl of the Year Spotlight (the “Spotlight”) is sponsored by Soupergirl, LLC (“Sponsor”), located in Washington, D.C.
2. Nomination Period
Nominations open on [INSERT OPEN DATE] at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) and close on August 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. Nominations received outside of this period will not be considered. Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device.
3. Eligibility
To be eligible, a nominee must:
- Be a woman who is 18 years of age or older at the time of nomination.
- Be a legal resident of the United States.
- Not be an employee, officer, director, or agent of Soupergirl, LLC, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies, or members of their immediate families or households.
- Be engaged in work related to food justice, food access, sustainability, community food impact, or food innovation at the time of nomination.
Any person may submit a nomination, including self-nominations, provided the nominee meets all eligibility requirements. There is no limit on the number of nominations a person may submit, but each individual may only be nominated once. Duplicate nominations will be consolidated.
4. How to Nominate
To submit a nomination, visit
www.soupergirl.com during the Nomination Period and complete the official nomination form in full. All required fields must be completed. Incomplete nominations will be disqualified. Nominations submitted by any other means will not be accepted.
By submitting a nomination, the nominator represents that the information provided is truthful and accurate to the best of their knowledge, and that any necessary consent from the nominee has been obtained.
5. Selection of Winner
Following the close of the Nomination Period, a panel of judges selected by Sponsor will evaluate all eligible nominations. Criteria may include:
- Food Justice Impact
- Innovation
- Community Impact
- Sustainability
- Creativity
- Kindness
The selection of the winner is at the sole and absolute discretion of Sponsor and the Panel. Sponsor reserves the right to select no winner if no nominations meet the criteria to a satisfactory degree. The Panel’s decisions are final and binding.
6. Winner Announcement
The selected winner will be announced in November 2026. The potential winner will be contacted using the information provided at nomination. If the potential winner cannot be reached within five business days, is found to be ineligible, or is not in compliance with these Official Rules, Sponsor may select an alternate winner or award no prize.
7. Prize
One winner will receive:
- A $1,000 grant to support her food justice work.
- A two-month supply of Soupergirl products.
- Three coaching sessions with a Soupergirl partner.
- A featured spotlight across Soupergirl’s owned social media platforms.
The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Prize is $3,000 [INSERT ARV]. No cash substitution, assignment, or transfer is permitted, except by Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes.
8. Publicity
Except where prohibited by law, by accepting the Prize, the winner grants Sponsor permission to use her name, likeness, photograph, biography, statements, and/or voice for advertising and promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without additional compensation or right of approval.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect information, technical failures, unauthorized intervention, technical or human error, or any injury or damage arising from participation in the Spotlight or receipt, use, or misuse of any Prize.
10. Disputes
Except where prohibited, all disputes arising out of or relating to these Official Rules or the Spotlight shall be resolved individually, without resort to class action, and exclusively by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. These Official Rules and the Spotlight are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia.
11. Sponsor’s Right to Modify or Cancel
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Spotlight if any cause beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control affects the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Spotlight. Sponsor may disqualify anyone who tampers with the nomination process or violates these Official Rules.
12. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with this Spotlight will be used by Sponsor in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at Soupergirl.com, and solely for administering the Spotlight and communicating with nominators and nominees.
13. General Conditions
Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver. If any provision is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed severable and will not affect the remaining provisions. This Spotlight is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
14. Affiliation Disclaimer
Soupergirl and the Supergirl film are separate, unaffiliated entities. This Spotlight is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with the Supergirl film or its producers, distributors, or affiliates.
